Lockhart River

Lockhart was a 200 kW solar installation in the Lockhart River Community, IEA worked closely with the community and with Australian Sustainable Energy, to adapt the project construction around community needs. This included using bioindicators in construction management.

Balginjirr

The Majalla Wilderness Centre aims to educate youth and let them experience Indigneous culture and the Australian environment. An energy system is needed to support his venture, so IEA is working with Madjulla Inc. that can not only power the wilderness centre, but also act as a part of the experience, highlighting the sustainable approach that Indigenous Australian's have employed for years.

Nigeria

IEA has partnered with the Yagazie Foundation, a Nigerian based NGO, to complete the Educating Energy project. Educating Energy will deliver reliable and clean, energy and water services to unlock education outcomes for thousands of children across a number of Nigerian communities.

Original Water Industry

IEA's flagship knowledge sharing initiative, the Original Water Industry, is a technical paper demonstrating that there always was an Australian Water Industry of which Indigneous Australians were the custodians to, this Industry has value, Indigenous Australians disproportionality face water issues, and there is much opportunity in integrating the Original and contemporary industries.
